Credit To Ze Edit
Following on from their superb Ze Records 30th Anniversary retrospective, the ever-excellent Strut Records have commissioned some smoking Ze re-edits from some of the biggest names around. Highlights include respected disco editist Greg Wilson's tweak of Was (Not Was)'s 'Tell Me That I'm Dreamin', Todd Terje's sublime re-working of Gichy Dan's 'Friendly Children' and a wicked dubbed-up version of Kid Creole's 1982 smash 'Annie, I'm Not You're Daddy'. Have a listen to the whole LP on Spotify here.

Ze is 30!
Speaking of 30 year anniversaries the one and only Ze Records (through Strut) is celebrating three decades of amazing tunes in the shape of a new compilation Ze 30: Ze Records Story 1979-2009. The album focuses on some of the less celebrated gems (from the likes of Suicide and Casino Music) from the archives alongside Ze classics from Was (Not Was) and Kid Creole & The Coconuts. Have a listen over on Spotify.
For those not acquainted with the mighty Ze, check out the brilliant Mutant Disco comps in three bite size volumes. 1,2,3 .
For your visual delight the amazing Kid Creole & His Coconuts and 'Stool Pigeon' (just don't mention the Dollyrockers ...)
